BELGRADE, Aug 22 (SW) - Filippo Inzaghi guided AC Milan to a
comfortable 2-1 victory over Crvena Zvezda on Tuesday to send the
Rossoneri to the Champions League group stage 3-1 on aggregate.
Inzaghi, who also scored the Rossoneri's goal in the first leg match at
the San Siro, put Milan firmly in control of the tie in the 29th minute
when he headed home a Gennaro Gattuso cross for a 1-0 lead.
Milan were comfortably in control of the match with the home side
needing three goals to advance, but Clarence Seedorf struck in the 78th
minute to end any chances for a dramatic comeback.
Dusan Djokic scored a bit of small consolation for the hosts shortly
after Inzaghi's second goal, but it wasn't near enough to see the
former European champions hit a big pay day.
Milan will now go into Friday's draw as one of the top eight seeded teams in the competition.
