GELSENKIRCHEN/DUBLIN, Aug 16 (SW) - Germany achieved an easy victory
over Sweden in an international friendly on Wednesday, while the
Netherlands had no troubles in and against the Republic of Ireland.
Germany - Sweden 3-0
The Germans needed only four minutes to score against Sweden, whom they
defeated 2-0 in the second round of the recent World Cup.
Tim Borowski found Bernd Schneider, who scored with a right-footed strike from about seven meters.
Four minutes later, Miroslav Klose added a second. The striker received
the ball at 25 meters from the goal, entered the penalty area, got past
two defenders and then scored for 2-0.
And the third goal came just before half time, and again it was Klose
to score. Schweinsteiger came down the left wing and the following
cross was home by his teammate.

In his first match for the Dutch national team, Klaas Jan Huntelaar impressed by scoring two goals and delivering an assist.
The Ajax striker opened the score with a header in the 25th minute, and allowed Arjen Robben to net the second in the 41st.
Eight minutes into the second half, a pass from Rafael van der Vaart
found Huntelaar who did well to score his second of the night.
And the fourth and last goal came from Robin van Persie. The Arsenal
striker beat the goalkeeper with a shot from the edge of the penalty
area in the 70th minute.
