MILAN, Aug 8 (SW) – The agent of Inter forward Obafemi Martins has admitted there is growing interest in his client.

The Nigerian is being linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri following the arrival of Hernan Crespo and Roberto Mancini’s interest in Luca Toni and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Oba has requests from Tottenham, Newcastle, Portsmouth and Valencia,” said agent Patrick Bastianelli.

“Martins feels very close to Inter and [owner Massimo] Moratti, but it seems clear that we have to find a solution after the club signed Crespo.”

When asked if his client would seek a move away to secure regular first team football, Bastianelli revealed that talks were ongoing.

“There are offers on the table, but the player has yet to be placed on the transfer list. We are in continual contact with the club.”
